My IBM Experience
Here's what I've accomplished and learn
at the big blue.
It was a almost three year trajectory. The main work was to attend their main client. Sicredi is a Credit Union with +4 mi associates growing 20% a year... in the midst of a digital transformation.
I was the First UX Designer to work with the finantial institutions channels. I completly revamped their Mobile App and the Web Banking.
I delivered a better integration between their variation of Agile Process, doing some fast design consulting, and also delivering big projects being alocated in many different agile teams.
If you want to see an example of this approach at best, you should check this Tangerine User Case.
Value Generated:
the client → Had their App with +1 million active users and transactioning +5 million dollars a month completly revamped and adequated to modern practices of Design and UX approaches to gain effiency.
to IBM → I made IBM big bucks by being valued as a specialist, with and increased hour/alocation/price.
Also, I generated concepts and realized projects that resulted in more hirings for more IBMers.
To myself → It was the big break of my career. I trully became a specialist by facing business decisions worth thousands and thousands of dolars.
What was the IBM Context for my entrance?
To scale design to our current clients and how to use UX and Design Thinking to increase the quality of the project. To create more value by adding custom experiences for the digital clients.
As it turned out, I joined IBM right in the midst of a massive transformation, as the Big Blue dinosaur looked to reinvent itself as a design-led business, investing more than $100 million in the process.
As Charlie Hill pointed out, implementing design on the scale of IBM is a daunting task. This process has certainly rung true with many challenges arising — below I reflect on some of the things I’ve learned working as a UX designer at one of the biggest tech companies around.

My acquired qualifications @ IBM
I've start by emerging myself in the new IBM's framework for design. Then I improved my agile methodologies knowledge. Finally achieve the second level of design at IBM, being a certified Co-Creator.
My main work was done for this very special client. Was the work done in the Cooperative Finantial Institution, Sicredi that boosted my career. See some of the work I've accomplished there.
I've done an amazing work and learned a lot about complex systems and the relationship with thousands of different types of end-users while creating and maintaining a cohesive interface in all devices.
